David played the part of the love lorn Rev Gibson in the three part 2004 BBC drama.
The plot centers around a young married couple whose relationship
is torn apart by the husband's jealousy and obsession with rumours that his wife had an affair.
He refuses to believe her denials and descends into a terrible depression.
Tennant's character provides some welcome light relief to the story,
