In December 2009 David travelled to LA to record a pilot for NBC, called Rex Is Not You Lawyer.
The show centred on David's character, a top Chicago lawyer, who begins suffering panic attacks and takes up coaching clients to represent themselves in court. NBC green lighted the project in August, about two years after it was first developed.  Unfortunately NBC decided not to commission a full series of Rex Is Not Your Lawyer, so the pilot starring David has remained unaired.
