The Young Vic is set to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Tim Crouch's groundbreaking play "An Oak Tree" this spring, with a star-studded lineup of guest artists, including David Tennant . This innovative production is known for its "cold-read" concept, where a different guest performer takes the stage each night, having never seen or read the play before. Presented by Francesca Moody Productions, in association with the Young Vic, this anniversary production promises to be a unique theatrical experience.
In a nod to tradition, the guest artists for Tim Crouch's "An Oak Tree" will remain a secret until they take to the stage. This critically acclaimed play, written and performed by Crouch, tells the poignant story of a father who loses his daughter in a car accident and his subsequent encounter with the stage hypnotist responsible. With over 350 guest artists having appeared in the production since its 2005 premiere “An Oak Tree" continues to be a unique theatrical experience. The production, directed by Tim Crouch, Karl James, and Andy Smith, with music by Peter Gill, will run at London's Young Vic theatre from May 6-24.
