Speaking inside he says "When I signed on, the first series of the new version hadn’t even transmitted, I sort of signed up to be in a second series that nobody could really be certain would ever arrive. "I could have appeared in a regeneration scene at the end of series 1, and that could have been it. I would have been not even the George Lazenby of Doctor Who; if I can make a slightly obscure Casino Royale reference, I’d have been the David Niven of Doctor Who!" ITV have confirmed that David Tennant’s new game show “Genius Game” will air this Spring. Genius Game is a brand-new reality game show that will see strategically minded players, chosen not just for their high intellectual prowess but also their social IQ, face the ultimate battle of survival. To win, contestants will participate in a host of never-before-seen games all designed to not only test their intellectual acumen, but also to encourage them to carefully and creatively use the art of manipulation to outfox their opponents and win a cash prize. Viewers will see David take on the role of The Creator in the series, which originates from South Korea, and guide players as they attempt to navigate each uniquely crafted challenge. ITV’s new entertainment series, The Assembly, will feature David Tennant being interviewed by a unique and talented group of autistic, neurodivergent, and/or learning-disabled individuals. In The Assembly, celebrities ditch their media-trained responses and face refreshingly honest, humorous, and unpredictable interviews. Gone are the scripted answers, as they navigate mischief, surprises, and heartfelt conversations in the hot seat. The Assembly will also star Gary Lineker, Jade Thirlwall and David’s Rivals co-star Danny Dyer. It will air on ITV later this year.

Rivals has been nominated for Best Drama at the Broadcasting Press Guild (BPG) Awards, which is voted on by British television and media journalists. Winners will be announced during a ceremony on 20 March in London. Rivals is streaming now on Disney+ and Hulu
