🎧 David’s back doing what he does best, bringing a brilliant story to life with his voice! He’s narrating How to Train Your Dragon School: Doom of the Darkwing, the latest adventure from Cressida Cowell. It’s packed with dragons, disasters, and a very chaotic battle lesson at Berk’s Training School (Hiccup’s in charge… what could possibly go wrong?). In a brand new episode of Big City Greens, David lends his voice to Lord Argyle in ‘Saxon Saxability’, a plush, pompous aristocrat with a flair for the dramatic (and yes, he’s literally a posh sock). It’s a wonderfully silly, storybook-inspired adventure led by the endlessly imaginative Tilly Green, as she helps her doll Saxon find true love. The episode features a brilliant guest cast: Dan Stevens as Saxon Jennifer Veal as Lady Mopsley And David Tennant as the very regal Lord Argyle. 🧦 It’s a playful, heartwarming slice of animation that celebrates creativity, family, and the joy of make-believe all wrapped up in a sock-sized love story. 🗓 Saxon Saxability is now airing on Disney Channel, and will be available to stream on Disney+ from July 30! 🪽 David Tennant joins the afterlife—but not quite as you know it… Coming this August, David’s heading to Hulu in a brand new animated series called Standing By—a grown-up comedy about a group of guardian angels who are… well, a bit over it. Created by Schitt’s Creek star Dan Levy, the show imagines what happens when the people meant to guide us from above are just as flawed, cynical and prone to drama as the humans they’re stuck with. Expect soul-searching, sarcasm, and a fair amount of divine dysfunction. David joins a brilliant voice cast including Dan Levy himself, Glenn Close, Samira Wiley, and more. The first episode lands on August 8 (US), and we’ll keep you posted on the UK release as soon as we hear more. 📺 Standing By is part of Hulu’s new wave of animated comedies—with a heart, a halo, and a lot of heavenly side-eye.

📻🎭 If you’ve been gripped by the stormy drama of King Lear, don’t miss the final part airing today at 3pm on BBC Radio 4. The fallout begins, and the betrayals are about to come home to roost. David Tennant returns as the dangerously ambitious Edmund, cool, calculating, and utterly compelling. It’s a darker turn than many are used to hearing from him, and he plays it with eerie ease. Alongside him, Richard Wilson delivers a heartbreaking Lear, Greta Scacchi and Toby Jones bring power and pathos as Goneril and Gloucester, and the soundscape, led by cellist Steven Isserlis, is hauntingly beautiful.
